Built in the 1920's, this house needed extensive renewal. We altered the floorplan, updated the electrical system and the kitchen, improved landscaping and roofing. And of course, we insulated it and installed solar lighting.

We cleaned this house up and found a jewel. On the upper floor we changed the layout, enlarging the kitchen and bath. We added a new deck to the south, and refinished the hardwood floors. We added two furnaces, since this is a duplex apartment. The lower floor was gutted and rebuilt to modern standards, with new wiring and plumbing throughout the building.

We installed the solar lighting in Interiors Marketplace, a beautifully done interior decorating showroom in the heart of Asheville's Biltmore district. The drama and color of natural light from a Sunpipe adds to the stunning effect in this former lumber warehouse.
